What is COLABO?
Colabo is a digital showroom connecting emerging designers with stylists. Designers showcase and rent out their pieces. Stylists get one place to discover, request, and manage loans - without the fragmented process of PR showrooms, Instagram DMs, and word of mouth.
Is COLABO available as an app?
Not yet - for now, it’s web-based and mobile-friendly. An app is on our roadmap.
How is content moderated?
Every designer listing is reviewed by the Colabo team before going live. We check for image quality, accuracy, and fit with our catalogue standard. Nothing goes live without our approval.
What do I get with stylist access?
Stylist access is completely free. Stylists gain access to a curated, searchable catalogue of emerging designer pieces available to borrow. Filter by category, size, colour, rental type, location, and more. Message designers directly through the platform to request pieces, ask questions, and arrange logistics - all in one place.
How do rentals work?
Find a piece you want, send a request through Colabo with your shoot dates and project details, and the designer will confirm or decline. Once agreed, shipping and collection are arranged directly between you and the designer.
Why use Colabo instead of a PR showroom?
Colabo is open but curated - accessible to emerging designers who aren't represented by traditional showrooms. It's digital-first, available 24/7, and everything happens in one place. You discover talent you wouldn't find anywhere else.
Is it free to join as a designer?
Founding members join for free. For new designers joining after August, there will be a small fee.
What are the listing requirements?
Every piece must meet our quality standard before going live. This means at least two images per listing - professional campaign or editorial quality, well lit with a clean background, and at least one on-body shot. Flat lay shots are welcome as additional images but not as the primary photograph. Listings also need accurate and complete information — category, size, condition, rental terms, and availability.
What kind of photography works best?
Campaign or editorial quality images work best - clean background, good lighting, and at least one shot on a model so stylists can see how the piece sits.
Why do you review listings before they go live?
To keep the catalogue high quality and genuinely useful for stylists. A curated platform works better for everyone - stylists find what they need faster, and designers get more requests because their work is presented well.
What happens if my listings get declined?
You'll receive a message explaining exactly why and what needs to change. You're welcome to update and resubmit - most declines are photography related and easily fixed.
Can I upload a co-ord as a set?
We recommend creating two separate listings using the same image - one for each piece - and note in the description that they're part of a set and available together or separately. This makes each piece individually searchable for stylists.
How long does listing approval take?
We aim to review all listings within 48 hours. You'll be notified as soon as yours is live.
Can I update my items once they’re uploaded?
Yes - you can edit or update your listings at any time. We encourage keeping your catalogue current so stylists always know what's available.
How do rentals work?
Stylists send requests through COLABO. Designers chat with the stylist and either approve or decline the request - designers manage own logistics.
Who handles shipping and returns?
Shipping, returns, and logistics are agreed directly between the designer and stylist. Colabo facilitates the connection - the practicalities are between you.
Can I sell items on COLABO?
Not currently - Colabo is purely for rentals and loans. We may facilitate this in the future.
