From AYA DESIGN's debut Spring​/​Summer 2026 collection, L'île déserte, presented on the official London Fashion Week schedule. The collection reads the uninhabited island as a return to the primordial self. A suit jacket opened out into a poncho: the notch lapel, front placket and lining are all held intact, while the body widens into a broad cape that falls to a point at either side. Two carved tonal toggles fasten the front, and the entire hem is finished with a deep hand-knotted fringe. Cut from a fine wool-blend pinstripe suiting, and made at AYA inc.'s own countryside factory in Japan alongside local artisans. A sample piece, available in one size only. Wear open over tailoring, or fastened as a cape. Dry clean only. Do not tumble dry. Do not wring the fringe; comb through gently with fingers to straighten. Cool iron on reverse if required. Store on a wide hanger away from direct sunlight. Wool 50%, Polyester 50% Model is 175cm ​/​ 5'9" and wears a UK 12 (size L).
